Privacy Policy
Privacy policy for woo-spin-australia.com: what data a visit generates, how cookies and analytics are used, hosting, retention periods and the rights Australian readers have under the Privacy Act 1988.
1. Scope
This policy explains what information is collected when you visit woo-spin-australia.com, why it is collected, how long it is kept and what rights you have over it. It covers this website only. It does not cover any gambling operator's site, and it does not cover what an operator does with information you give it after you leave here — those sites publish their own privacy policies and you should read them separately.
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
2. What we collect
Information you give us. This site has no registration, no login, no newsletter sign-up, no comment section and no contact form. In normal use there is nothing for you to submit and we ask you for nothing. If you write to us by email, we receive whatever you choose to put in that email.
Information collected automatically. Like every web server, our hosting provider records technical data with each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the HTTP status returned, the referring page if there is one, and your browser's user-agent string. This data is generated by the act of loading a page and is used to keep the site running and secure.
Analytics. If aggregate analytics are in use, they record page views, approximate location at city or country level, device type, browser and referral source. They are used to understand which pages are read and where readers arrive from. We do not use analytics to build individual profiles and we do not attempt to identify individual readers.
Affiliate parameters. Following an outbound link to a gambling operator passes a tracking identifier to that operator so it can attribute the referral. That identifier tells the operator which site sent you. It does not send us your name, your account details, your deposits or your gambling activity, and we never receive that information.
3. What we do not collect
We do not collect or store payment details, identity documents, dates of birth, gambling account credentials, transaction histories or any information about how you gamble. We have no access to any account you hold with an operator. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and this site is not intended for them.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site may use:
- Strictly necessary cookies — required for the site to load and display correctly, including any consent preference you set.
- Analytics cookies — used to count page views and understand navigation patterns in aggregate.
- Affiliate cookies — set when you follow an outbound link, so a referral can be attributed correctly.
You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time, and most browsers also offer a private browsing mode that discards them at the end of the session. Blocking cookies does not prevent you from reading anything on this site.
5. Why we handle this information
To deliver the pages you request; to keep the site secure and diagnose faults; to understand in aggregate which content is useful; and to receive correct attribution for referrals, which is how the site is funded. We do not sell personal information, we do not trade mailing lists, and we do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
6. Who else may receive data
Our hosting provider processes requests on our behalf and necessarily handles server log data. An analytics provider, if used, processes aggregate usage data. Gambling operators receive an affiliate identifier when you follow an outbound link, together with whatever your own browser sends them directly — which is what happens whenever you visit any website. Some of these providers operate servers outside Australia, which means data may be processed overseas.
7. How long data is kept
Server access logs are retained for a limited period for security and diagnostic purposes and are then deleted or overwritten by the hosting provider under its own retention schedule. Aggregate analytics may be retained longer because they are not linked to an identified individual. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to deal with the matter it concerns.
8. Security
The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Because we do not collect accounts, payment data or identity documents, there is very little personal information here to compromise, which is a deliberate design choice rather than an accident. No system connected to the internet can be guaranteed perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
9. Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected if it is inaccurate, and ask for it to be deleted where we are not required to keep it. In practice we hold almost nothing that identifies an individual reader. Requests can be made by email to [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable period.
If you are not satisfied with how a privacy matter has been handled, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
10. Children
This site is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the tools the site uses or in the law. The current version is always the one published on this page, and material changes take effect when they are published.
12. Contact
Questions about this policy, or requests concerning personal information, can be sent to [email protected]. Please note that we cannot help with gambling account matters — for those, contact the operator's own support, which offers live chat around the clock.
